Tip #1 - Replace Lace When It Shows Wear
Take a close look at your lace. If you notice any holes or balding it’s a clear sign that you need a lace replacement. How often you need to replace the lace depends on how frequently you wear your wig and how well you care for it. Some people may need a new lace every 6 months, while others can go years without needing a replacement. It really depends on how often you wear and care for your wig.
For example, the photos above show a wig from one of our returning customers who needed a new lace after 9 months of frequent wear. Transparent lace is more durable and ideal for everyday wear, so we replaced her 5x5 HD Film Lace with a 5x5 Swiss Transparent Lace. We also resized the wig cap, added an elastic band, straightened the hair, and cut the lace so her wig would be easy to install.
Tip #2 - Add Color for a New Look
If you're looking to change up your style, adding a new color during your wig maintenance is a great option. You can choose from shades like warm browns, honey blonde, ombre, dark red, and more to give your wig a fresh look. If your wig already has color and you need a lace replacement, you should also select "Yes" when asked if you want color. This ensures that the new lace matches your current wig color.
If you prefer to keep your wig as it is, select "No" to all options.
